The Department of Physics, Cochin University of Science and Technology, in association with the IUCAA Reference Centre (IRC) is conducting a workshop called “Physics – Scope and awareness” for school students, completing 9th standard and going to 10th standard in 2011. The workshop envisages to provide an opportunity to interact with the faculty members, witness some of the advanced experiments being carried-out in the research laboratories of Physics and also to gain hands on experience on various core experiments in Physics, telescope making.
How to apply
Students are required to apply in the format given and the applications must be duly recommended by the respective Heads of the Institutions. Due to the limited number of seats, only one student may be recommended from an institution. Final selection will be made by the department and the selected students will be informed by April 8, 2011.
