GUIDELINES FOR BRANCH/COLLEGE CHANGE(FOR 2011 ADMISSIONS ONLY)
The transfer shall be based on the CAT rank obtained by the candidate subject to the availability of vacancy in the concerned branch/college.
Changes in the fees, if any, shall have prospective effect only. There shall not be any refund of fee in the case of transfer from payment/NRI to free seat. In the case of transfer from free to payment seat, fees applicable in the payment seat have to be paid for the remaining semesters.
All vacancies except KSC/KST vacancies on the date of processing of branch change will be treated as General Payment seats before processing. However, the SEBC/KSC/KST vacancies generated during the process will be filled in by transferring the eligible candidate belonging to the respective category.
Branch change/College change is applicable only for students of 2011 admissions studying in SOE and CUCEK.
Candidates admitted in 2011 through spot admissions are not eligible for this branch change.
Candidates can give only two choices. If more than two choices are given only the first two choices will be considered.
Branch change is subject to the probable vacancies which are likely to occur at the end of I&II semester. During the process of branch/college change vacancies can be created in some branches other than those existing at the beginning. Hence candidates can choose any branch of his/her choice for branch change from the B.Tech programmes offered in SOE and CUCEK.
Candidates should to apply though online for the branch change and fill all the details in the Online Application form. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
The filled in applications duly forwarded by the Principal of the School/College concerned should reach the Director, Unit for International Relations and Academic Admissions, CUSAT, Kochi-22 on or before 23.03.2012 5 PM . Applications received after the last date mentioned above will not be accepted under any circumstances.
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES FOR BRANCH CHANGE
The students who wish to apply for the branch change must register in the websitehttp://www.iraa.cusat.ac.in/cat2011/changebranch/ using their Register Number and Roll No.
|The website will be open from 12.03.2012 13.00 Hrs to 20.03.2012 15.00 Hrs|
After registering their choices, a printout of the same may be taken and submitted to the Principal along with a self attested copy of their admit card and identity card.
The students are allowed to change their options at any time till the last date in the website. However the options in the hard copy received in this office through the Principal will be considered as final
The students should submit only one application form to the office of the Principal. If more than one form is submitted, the latest application submitted by the candidate, duly recommended by the Principal will only be considered.
