Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) Pro-Vice Chancellor Godfrey Louis retired from his post on completion of his term.
A farewell meeting was organized in his honor at the Senate Hall. Vice-Chancellor Ramachandran Thekkedath presided over the function.
A noted astrophysicist, Dr Louis was appointed as PVC while he was serving as Professor with the varsity’s Department of Physics. His research on the ‘Red Rain phenomenon’, raising the possibility of extra- terrestrial life has won him international acclaim through New Scientist, BBC and other media. Though relieved of the responsibilities of PVC, Dr Louis will continue to serve as professor in the Department of Physics.
Cusat Registrar A Ramachandran, Controller of Examinations A B Bhasi and Assistant Registrar K V Mohanan offered felicitations on the occasion.
