B.Tech First year Branch Change 2016

if you are not satisfied with your current branch, then this is your chance for a branch change. please note that you meet the minimum eligibility criteria/general considerations,

  1. who have completed first and second semester courses and have appeared for the first year examinations, 2015 Admissions precisely.
  2. Students of School of Engineering, Thrikkakkara & Cochin University College of Engineering, Kuttanadu and are eligible for promotion to the third semester as duly certified by the Principal will only be considered for the above College/Branch transfer.
  3. The transfer shall be based on the CAT 2015 rank of the candidate or simply laying it there, NO CAT Rank NO transfer. That sounded little insane.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS – BRANCH CHANGE CUSAT

  1. Please read Notification No. IRAA-1A /422/Branch Change/ 2016 dated 01/03/2016 before proceeding further.
  2. The applications for College/Branch transfer will be received through online mode only. Interested students may apply through the web site iraa.cusat.ac.in/bc2016. Multiple online applications will not be allowed.
  3. The transfer shall be based on the CAT 2015 rank of the candidate, subject to the availability of vacancy in the concerned College and branch.  Candidates without a valid CAT 2015 rank are not eligible to apply.
  4. The transfer shall have prospective effect only and shall be effective from the third semester onwards. There shall not be any refund of fee / deposit paid in any case of transfer.
  5. Fee Category change will not be allowed.
  6. Vacant seats under KSC/KST category (existing as well as those generated during the transfer process) will be filled by transferring KSC/KST candidates only.
  7. All vacancies (existing as well as those generated during the transfer process) other than KSC/KST category will be treated as General for the purpose College/branch transfer.
  8. Application Fee and Important dates:

    a. The application fee Rs.1,105/-.(Rupees One Thousand One Hundred and Five only) is to be paid by cash at the Office of the concerned School/College.

    b. Online submission of application:  From 03-03-2016 10.00 am to 15-03-2016, 5.00 pm.  c. Online applications can be submitted during the period from 16-03-2016 10.00 am to 22-03-2016 5.00 pm with a late fee of Rs. 1,000/-   in addition to the application fee mentioned above. d. Application Fee/Late fee once paid will not be refunded.

  9. The students are allowed to change their options at any time till the last date in the website. However, this facility will not be available after 15-03-2016 for students who have submitted online application during the period from 03-03-2016 to 15-03-2016.
  10. The printout of the application duly signed by the student, along with the following documents should be submitted to the Principals of concerned Institutions on or before 23-03-2016 4.00 pm.

    a. Self-attested copy of the Provisional Admission Certificate.

    b. Self-attested copy of Identity card issued by the Institution concerned.

    c. Original cash receipt as proof of payment of application fee.

  11. Late and incomplete applications/applications without signature of the concerned Principal will be summarily rejected.
  12. College/Branch transfer will be subject to norms mentioned in the Notification read above.
